Revised Provision For Trekking in Nepal

Revised Provision For Trekking in Nepal  : Is newly updated rule and regulation in Nepal for the trekkers who are going for different hiking mountains region in Nepal. Each and every tourist should take licensed guide to take TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System) through Nepal government authorized Trekking Company for their hiking trip in Nepal. This system help to tourist, guide & porters to finished their trek in safe way. if incase there  is any problems in between trip then  the Management system arrange immediate assistance to save you from any serious incident. Welcome to Nepal for any kind of holidays activities.

What if I take permits before April 1st ?

The new rule will come into effect from April 1st, 2023. The trekkers who get the permits and start the trek before April 1st will not require a guide. But they’ll need to have entered the trekking area.

What about people who want to do ACT or similar treks in bikes?

All the treks need to comply with the new rule. You can contact a trekking agency in Nepal for the guide to accompany you in bikes.

What if the trekker is an experienced one and associated to a trekking/mountaineering association in home country?

The rule is applicable for all the foreign national trekkers.

What about the areas such as Chame, Muktinath etc that require TIMS card just because they lie inside a National Park or conservation area?

Yes, all the areas need a guide and permits taken from an agency.

 

Trekking Guide Training

Trekking guide & porter guide training 2022-2023 first session application form is already open. You can reserve your place now to take training & become a Nepal Government authorize guide/porter guide. You will have to take 7 weeks training which including theoretical classes, practical test, rock climbing test, First aid training & many more knowledgeable courses  that you can get from expert. Ones you took all training & passed all exams that you will get license then finally become Government license holder guide/porter guide. More information that you will find above attach picture.

Nepal is Open for Travel

A Warm Namaste! We are happy to inform that Nepal is now open for travelling. Good news is, fully vaccinated travelers are now exempt from quarantine provision, which means they can start their travel right after their entry! Though, there are some travels restrictions, if you abide by the rules, travelling in Nepal will not be a hassle. With the Government’s aggressive inoculation campaign, more than 19% of the total population is fully vaccinated and more than 21% has already received their first dose. As tourism professionals belong to the prioritized frontline groups, above 95% of the tourism workers have been fully vaccinated by now (97% in all the trekking g region).

At Clear Sky Treks also, almost all the office and field staffs are fully vaccinated. As there is some silver lining finally, we are now trying to go with V2V (vaccinated to vaccinated) services approach, which is the best thing to do as of now. We ensure our travelers that we will follow all the health and safety measures strictly during all our operations. This autumn, we are preparing more than ever to make our visitors feel welcomed and safe.

  1. There is no quarantine rule for fully vaccinated travelers, but they need to make sure that they have received their last dose at least 14 days before they enter Nepal.
  1. On arrival visa service has resumed for fully vaccinated travelers. They need to present the following documents at immigration:
  • Vaccination Certificate with proof of 14 days after the last dose
  • RT-PCR negative test issued within 72 hours or less before first flight
  • Proof of hotel booking that we will make for you.
  1. There is no on arrival visa provision for non-vaccinated travelers. They need to have prior visa from Nepalese Diplomatic missions in their respective countries.
  1. Non-vaccinated travelers need to stay 10 days in quarantine at their own cost in the hotels designated by Nepal Government. https://www.tourismdepartment.gov.np/pages/notices/33/195
  1. Upon arrival, non-vaccinated travelers need to present all the documents specified in no. 2 (except vaccination certificate), plus proof of quarantine hotel booking
  1. All travelers should have rapid antigen test while entering Nepal. If found positive, they should be in quarantine at the hospitals or isolation centers designated by Nepal Government.
